Meep over MEPS

So one Tuesday I get the pleasure of going to Buffalo for MEPS (the physical and total day of questioning as to whether they can disqualify me or not for the army).

I’m a bit nervous, not that there is really anything that could get me disqualified.  Just always get nervous about this stuff.  Looking forward to getting to sit down and talk with the career counselor and planning how the Army can best serve me and how I can best serve it.  Really hoping that my job will still be available when I get down there, if not I’ll do the delay entry program (DEP) until it is.  I also want to see if I can add Airborne to my contract.

Other then that feeling good, albeit a little sore.  We’ve started dieting and working out some.  SSG Biz said that after MEPS he is going to help us get into shape by starting some physical training with us.  I can’t wait, I’m really looking forward to it.

Tim qualified for the Special Forces candidate program.  He isn’t sure if that is what he wants to attempt though.  This would be the last year he would be able to try for it.  He also qualified for 94Y, which is essentially Electrical Engineer(which is what he has been wanting to go to school for).

With our ASVAB scores we could basically have almost any job we want, its just trying to figure out what we want to do and what is available.  I don’t really see myself doing anything but a medical career, especially since women are not allowed to have combat jobs (if we could I’d sooo want to do 13F, Fire Support Specialist or Calvary Scout that would be an awesome job also…dang vajayjay).
